I’m an admit for 2013 (HOORAH!) and I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem. My EFC, based on the FAFSA, was 25,700 this year. I know to many of you on here that’s a lot, and I shouldn’t be complaining because my family has money. However, as I understood it Brown’s supposed to meet 100% of demonstrated need. I also know that they use the CSS profile, and so sometimes need is not quite the same as the FAFSA. However, my aid package seems wrong:
3,500 in subsidized stafford loans
2,500 in work-study

Leaving me with 46,000 to come up with. That’s 20,000 more than my FAFSA. I can attend if my aid award is close to my FAFSA, but there’s no way in hell my family can afford anywhere even above 30,000 a year. I was just wondering if anyone else’s been in the same or a similar boat/what you’ve done/are doing about it.
