Processing brown applicants

Im gonna be a senior next year and probably will apply ED to brown perhaps plme too. I was wondering if Brown looks at senior grades and will an extensive amount of college credits with good grades contribute to a boost in the gpa profile? How do they weed out applicants (ie: 1st, gpa must be greater than___; 2nd, great recs, 3rd etc…)?

Im counting on my essay to really protray my personality since my stats are only so so like a 3.7u/w and 2050 SAT. I am dedicated to vlntring at a place that helps autistic children(every wkend for 2 yrs=150 ish hrs by the time I apply) and am interested in bio or becoming a Doctor. I am also VP of the largest service club on my school campus, so I have quite a few service hrs there too. I think I can get a strong rec from my bio teacher b/c I have connected with her well in AND out of class times and she definately knows I work hard and am intensely interested in bio and never give up.

will this be enuff to have a decent shot at brown ED (also maybe plme)? im also thinking about applying to Upenn, Duke, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon.

anyone able to offer feedback?

A 3.7 uw and 2050 SAT would put you on the low side in comparison to most applicants but definitely still in the running. (It seems like the average admit has a 3.8 or 3.9 and a 1440 or so on the old SAT -or 2160 or so on the new SAT, but people def. still get in with lower stats. 25% of the admits from last year's class had a SAT score of 1290 or less.) And your ECs sound good. Focus on your essay and make sure you document your activities well, and apply ED if you wish (ED helps a lot). Retake the SAT and study if you think you can do better on it.

how bout for plme ED? i got the brochure today and it says 103/1400 accepted total 64 matriculated etc. what are the stats and importance on recs and essays RD/ED?
