the EFC is 30,000
annual income is about 140,000

Can I take a moment and point out that we are now on p. 69.

The teenage boy in me feels a need to note that.

haha youre sad. yea with $140,000 idk. im sure you will get a break as a 1st gen college person but 140 is around boarderline.

unless youre not the first kid goign to college...if youre a middle sibling, thats differnt.

1st kid, first generation. And I'm pretty awesome too. That should be noted.

You are indeed. Too bad fin aid is completely need-based, supposedly.

I need it cause I say I do!

I feel bad for a friend of mine - he's applying to Penn, Harvard, Princeton, the works. His parents make about 200k a year. They said they arent paying a dime for college....

That's horrible! Why not?

Because his parents are kind of evil. They didnt get him any presents for Christmas this year...but they did for his little sister...

Omg! They're asking for justifiable homicide...

Yuck. I have to work tonight.

Poor thing. I'm probably staying home and perfecting UChi's essay and stuff. When do you leave, cuz I want you to read my essay?

youre friend should call up the financial aid places to make sure that they know his situation.

between 4:30 and 4:45

Chance, it won't help. Until you are 24, or married, or join the army, you are still not completely independent, and your parents are expected to contribute to your education.

well he has a unique situation where they are not. my mother had the same problem back when she was applying to colleges and her school made an exception for her.

Eckie, check that inbox.

Hmm, site's back up. Nice.

bumpity bump bump

without bob, we wilt.
