Procrastination Station

Hahaha, ok. I'm usually very mature and controlled. But I will kill for my friends.

hey, i agreed with both of you. regardless, can't we all just get along :o

I have a question. I procrastinated as usual, so I didn't get to finish my Penn app. But I did print out a post-mark for 1/1. Can I still mail in my application? Do they care if it's a few days late?

ummm, if you're finished, you might as well mail it in. err, how did you print a postmark?

At the USPS site.

The problem is I haven't finished yet. I don't want to waste the time writing the essays if there is no chance they would accept my app.

Err, if you have a 1/1 postmark, then mail it in by all means. You should actually have done that today. Call and ask tomorrow. Why didn't you submit online?

I didn't submit it online because I procrastinated too much. I submitted 3 other apps online between 11 PM and midnight. I don't want to call and draw attention to my lateness. So should I stay up all night to finish the app tonight? Or wait till tomorrow?

I don't know. I would ask in the Parent Forum. More experience there.

ok, so i look up my e-mail today, and i get a letter from wisconsin. i was trying to get my netID (app tracking), cuz they didn't send me one.

"oh yeah, we sent you one. you should get it tomorrow. oh, btw, we made a decision on your app yesterday, and you'll probably get a letter from us in the mail soon anyway."

they told me i wouldn't get a decision until late Feb!

1) how do i read that?
2) i still haven't sent in some sup information!
3) now i'm like freaking out, b/c if i get rejected i'll lose it. they're my 9th choice school but i'm nervous as hell. i don't want to build up tons of rejections before i get me A fat letter or two. ok. total freak out on my part

ok, so right now you have exactly 1000 posts more than me. let's keep it that way.

now, in my experience, they never tell you verbally about a rejection letter headed your way. like, i have friends, and their alumni interviewer has called them and said, expect an envelope soon, and it's always been a fat one. So I think you should be...cautiously happy.

I got double A's on my senior thesis :)

what's a senior thesis?

Congratulations. It sounds like something hard to do, Re en Kam.

yeah it does. so double A's must be good. congrats eckie

The big senior research paper for my AP Brit Lit class. 10 Pages of hell in type. I contrasted the writings and beliefs of Locke and Hobbes

That's cool. We had something like that in AP Am. His. last year. I did something about the Puritans. I don't really remember it...

Oh, oh, random fact, today is the anniversary of Camus' death.

all right. good job.

yeah, i'm hopeful. i just want to see the letter soon, either way

It's Camus' death anniversary today???? I loved Camus. He was an awesome guy.

Actually...I have no clue who Camus is lol, and 26e, good luck to u for that letter, it should be good, but just be "cautiously happy" lol

Eckie, talk to me. I don't want to do statistics. Let's procrastinate.
