The 2nd section of the AP bio exam is 90 minutes including a reading period, but she thought it was 80 minutes including the reading period. A student mentioned reporting this to the principal. Is there anything that the administration could even do?
Why did someone not just say something to the proctor at the time?
@skieurope that is a good question. I actually was not aware of the 90 minute time limit, but I’m sure that some people did.
It’s printed in the exam booklet.
I know. I didn’t pay attention to it. I just looked at the time constraints on the board
That’s tough knowing how hard that FR was today. Even with the full 90 minutes, I still wasn’t even close to finishing.
I didn’t even finish.
Well, to answer your question, the administration can’t do anything at this point; the exams are on their way to be scored. Since the administration supplies the proctors anyway, they probably wouldn’t do anything even if they could.
yeah, that makes sense. I am not too upset about it because I only lost a couple points at the most since I was in the middle of answering the last part of the last question. However, I could see why some of the others would be very upset, especially if they still had a couple questions left.
My proctor tried to deny us 15 minutes on the AP Language exam, and I spoke up about it. Thank God I did, because otherwise I would not have had enough time to edit and finish.
The people in my school who took the AP Euro exam said that they were cut short as well. Apparently, they told their teacher about it, and the teacher somehow managed to contact someone about it and my friends told me they would get extra points(???), not really sure though.
