productive things to do over the summer?

my first year is about to end, and i don't know what to do :(

i already have my planned schedule for next fall semester, and by the end of that semester I'll have all my breadths done.

i know i'm gonna feel like a bum if i don't do anything that'll help me do something educational for cal, so what should i do?

should i re-revise my planned schedule so i can take a breadth at some community college and replace that course with an AC? who do i talk to in order to find which classes at the CC will mark off which breadths?

any other suggestions on what to do to help forward my educational career? seems like 18 years of being drilled has finally made me a nerd by nature :P

assist.org is the site that lets you find out what courses work for transferring from CC to UCB. I recommend you find a summer job if possible. Maybe volunteer or do an internship in something that interests you.

Agree with jbtheeunknown. A summer job would be most productive.
