does anyone know what he is like compared to wellman?

yeah i have him right now he’s a really interesting teacher and is a funny guy, but half the things we do in class don’t pertain to the exams or the assignments at hand. in fact, sometimes it feels like its just a straight Q&A session on dumb things, like “what if you plug in a negative number to your program!!!”… so i know people that never go to class and just read the book. the great thing is, we still are just covering loops, and the tests directly reflects the homework assignments, so doing well is proportional to how well you understand and do the homework (the tests aren’t bad). however, with that being said, you never get the solutions to the homework, so you never know how you’re doing… and on another note, none of us in there know what our grade is because they never pass them back.

the difference between this class and the other ENGR101 classes is that it’s on a straight scale. there will never be tests that are curved, so idk if that changes anything. however, the scale is very generous, considering >80% is B+.

Haha, BLIF is okay. You learn a lot of random stuff in his class compared to Wellman’s (who goes straight into C++), but I heard Wellman’s projects are harder than BLIF’s homework. Not sure about the exams, but Wellman’s are open book while BLIF’s aren’t.

yosup, do you live in markley substance free? more specifically, 4th reeves?
