I’ve been working on a class since the fall semester. Now that the spring semester has started, the professor is supposed to change my incomplete grade to my final grade but still has not did so. The deadline is less than two weeks away and she has not responded to any of my emails. If she doesn’t change my incomplete grade, i automatically get an F! What should i do?
Go to the Professor’s office hours and ask. Or go to the secretary of the department and ask what to do. Talk to your adviser.
Did you do all the work you were supposed to do for the class?
If you have not completed all the work then it is still an incomplete.
All of my assignments were on blackboard and now they are gone so i didn’t get a chance to complete all of them.
Go to the professor’s office. Not everyone has a preference for email. If you can’t make the office hours, look at the schedule for the department and try to figure out when the prof is not teaching and is more likely to be in the office.
If you have not completed the assignments then you still have an Incomplete grade.
My professor didn’t change my grade until 1 hour before the deadline. I’d go visit her office hours and ask.
How long should I wait until visiting her office hours? I sent her two emails. One last month, and one last Wednesday. She still has not replied.
Zero time. Go as soon as you can swing it.
Go now, as soon as possible.
Go now, especially because you haven’t completed the work now. If you wait but then still have to complete a week’'s worth of work two days before the deadline, that’s going to be an F.
I’m a bit confused.
If you haven’t completed the work, regardless of the reason, then your grade is still incomplete. How could the prof change the grade when the work hasn’t been completed?
It seems to me that this is about you, and not him.
I think part of the problem is that the work can no longer be completed as it was taken offline.
Did you discuss with your professor the terms of finishing the Incomplete from last semester? For something this important, sending two emails and waiting for a reply seems rather passive. Visit her in the office hours ASAP. Not sure why you would want to even give that a second thought. Especially if you no longer have access to the assignments on Blackboard. Do not try to run out the clock and then claim to the chair or the Dean that “prof never got back to my email I sent two weeks ago.” Won’t work.
Go to the professors office as soon as you can. If she is not there, she may have hours posted on her door. Go then. If she is still not there, go to the department office and ask what to do.
This is your responsibility, not the prof’s.
If you sit back and wait for a response, you may find that you’ve slipped through the cracks. You need to find out how you can make up an assignment that you didn’t copy down when it was online. I would do it tomorrow morning, as soon as office hours open.
OK, so what happened when you went to his office hours?
Any response?
No, my professor never responded. I received a letter in the mail stating that my incomplete grade was automatically turned into “F” due to my professor never giving me a final grade. So now I will have to retake the class.
she was never at her office when i went
