Next year I'll be going in as a Bio major and will be taking Intro to Bio and Chem, and probably Calc as well. Are there any professors that I should try to get or try to avoid? I know I might not have a lot of choices but any input would help.

bio 1- Dr. Ghosh. i know she might be very hard to understand, but literally everything you need are on her powerpoints. she is also the sweetest and nicest professor ever. she truly wants to help her students do well. it is very possible to do well in her class, and it only gets harder from here.
bio 2- Dr. Bledsoe. he is definitely much harder but he teaches very well. he knows what his biology and provides a ton of opportunities for you to go in and ask questions. the tests are fair, but difficult. and i mean, it is biology 2, so it’s expected. also, he is quite hilarious.
chem 1 and 2- Dr. Golde! his tests are based on his notes only and gives out a fair amount of extra credit. i would not say he is the easiest, but because he teaches well, the class averages are always in the mid 80s. great class and you can always expect him to make you laugh with his in class experiments.

Yes, definitely take Dr. Golde! The class can be boring but the tests are fair and he gives a TON of extra credit. The chem labs also correlate well with what you’re learning in class because he wrote the lab book!

To second what giraffodil said, above, my daughter is enjoying Dr. Bledsoe’s class.
