<p>I'll be a freshman next year and I'm wondering whether I should apply for a Program House (either HILC, JAM, or McLLU) or all freshman housing. About what percentage of students in Program Housing are freshman? Is it common for Americans to live in HILC just because they like other cultures, or would I be the only one? I'm just inerested in general with people's experiences being in a Program House as a freshman. Also, HILC and McLLU seem pretty similar. What are the differences?</p>

<p>I would highly recommend just living in regular freshman housing. Program housing isn’t limited to freshmen, and being surrounded by freshmen is a really big part of the freshman experience… or at least it was for me. You can definitely experience other cultures through clubs while still meeting all kinds of people within the dorms!</p>
