Just curious-since engineers tend to be mechanically inclined, how many of you have a "project car." Couple years down the road from know, might get a cheap, less than 1000 car to be the "project car"

No one has a clue what you’re talking about.

You speak for the populace?

I don’t, though one of my college roommates did.

You seriously overestimate how many engineers are “mechanically inclined.” In fact, one of the major problems with engineers these days is their complete lack of any hands-on experience.

I’m electrically-inclined.

Please elaborate.

Who are you requesting to elaborate what?

I currently have 2 project cars. I had 3 at one point in time, but sold one off after I finished it.

edit just noticed you said less than 1g. Then I have 1 project car ;).

I wanna buy an old mustang and just set everything up from scratch

I have had several projects cars, but have since sold most of it off. I still have one which I am finishing up. I bought the “shell” and built it up from scratch - its a 2000 Civic SI.

Ha! Both of my jalopies are project cars. Both are high maintenance and jealous of each other. Every time I fix one, the other suddenly springs a problem. In fact, I just finished repairing the exhaust and A/C evaporator drains on one of my cars tonight. Let’s see what happens with the other car now. :-/

I’m looking for a 68-72 Chevelle project right now. Current vehicle is the old family 93 Explorer with 307,000 miles on it.
