*PROM* (need I say more?)

anyone planning their prom? what's your theme?

we just started planning ours and i hope it'll turn out well. we have like no money and we're still not really set on our theme, but it's going to be called billionaire's club.

Go gh0st! that's what it is about - prom only comes once in your lifetime. Now why miss it?

As far as focusing on graduation...that shouldn't really be a big deal at all. By the time prom rolls around, everything should be in place if you've worked the right track all 4 years.

There is this girl that I have been really starting to like... I thought it would be pretty neat if we went to the prom together as we are going to the same school next year.. I just don't know how to introduce myself though!!!

did u just start to like her based on looks or based on what you've heard a/b her?

Honestly, I just took the most attractive person I could, I had a girlfriend at the time, but she lived an hour and a half away; I had gone to her prom earlier that year and her parents wouldn't let her come back for mine (something about us getting caught in her bed on prom night [dot dot dot]), so I went with my best looking girl friend because the pictures last forever. Yeah, it's shallow, but we ended up dating for a while after the prom for a few months and those were some of the best times of my life. Even though she's a huge bitch, I'll probably still end up taking her again this year because she's absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and I know for a fact I had the best looking date in that whole damn place. I ended up going to four proms last year (junior) and the stuff got expensive, but each one was well worth it. The goal for this year is six and I think I can definitely hit that. Some of you dream about going to Harvard, I dream about going to as many proms as I can.

In conclusion, find someone good looking, it doesn't matter how well you know them or if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend. This was my method and it worked perfectly.

lol uhh......

zogoto, i agree.

Ecliptica, you're a P.I.M.P.

I think I'm going with option 1.5. I don't want to get anywhere near a relationship, that close to graduation + heading off to college. But at the same time, a prom without a hookup would be depressing. So I'll take a friend, romantically, or something like that.

wow, ecliptica you are officially my new hero :)

justforgetme, I agree...this prom thing should not lead to a relationship but going with someone you have "feelings" for would be so much more fun and exciting!

MTC, in reply, I like her based on her personality... I like conservative (not politically), nice, intelligent people and she fits all of that...

i think prom is the sole time to splurge. when you are in college or later in life when you think of high school the first image that will come to your mind is Senior Prom and the good times and memories you had that evening. image being 40 and telling yourself why didn't I go. the iffs and regrets you later have will be certainly sorrowful. if theres anything you wouldnt want to take short cuts on that would be Senior Prom.

I for one already (even though Prom is about 5 months away) have already selected my suit, shirt, shoes, and tie colors and style combination. I've been wanting to wear this particularly interesting, modern, sheek suit for Prom. I in all honesty cant wait for Prom to happen. And this year I get to go to 2 Proms which is going to be very exciting :-)

SEven Nights, wow you must be one stylish man. Usually guys match their date and what color they're wearing. I'm glad ur just as excited ab prom as i am. Your school prom only happens once in ur life.

prom is what you make of it, seriously

better to bring a friend if its your senior prom. its kinda like "the celebration that concludes your high school career" and youll feel more accomplished if you go with friends who have gone through the same stuff that you did at the same h/s.

Or twice. . .junior and senior prom ;)

Seriously, go to as many as you can, it can get expensive but each one will be well worth it.

We don't have junior prom or any formal dances (or informal ones for that matter) so I'm excited about prom. The stress of picking a date is over (my boyfriend will be flying in to attend) so I guess I just have to find a dress? I have one right now that I bought on a whim, but yellow doesn't match so well with shoes and stuff =/

Do all your schools have themed proms? We never have themes but this year we'll be at the W Hotel, which I like.

i skipped junior prom. anyone care to fill me in what goes on during prom night, from the dance to the afterparty (besides dancing, and socializing).

just so i can be prepared

sex ? lol

lol

yeah, "everybody 'sexing' on the dance floor" - edited from eminem
