Another prom story:
I had a track meet the morning after my junior prom. It was the Coaches Invitational, the second biggest Invite in the state and has easily the best competition (in my opinion better than the state championship). I was seeded 11th or so in a field of 87 runners in the 100m. I ended up running almost a second slower than my seed time and finished 67th. On a related note, I did better in the long jump, and went over 20 feet for the first time that season. In conclusion, alcohol makes you jump further.

I didn't even feel like I could finish the shortest race in track and field. If I have a track meet again after prom this year and happen to drink (I'll try to make sure not to) I'm not going to sleep. . .that's what ruined everything. I honestly bet if I stayed awake the whole night I would've been fine the next morning to run.

check this: my prom is after classes end, AND after graduation. Basically, you have pre-graduation ceremony on thursday, graduation on friday, memorial day weekend, then prom on tuesday...so you're pretty much drunk all week.

Zante-Prom at the W! Wow! I'd fly in for that :-P

gh0st-Prom is dinner (where everyone's too afraid of spilling something on their brand new clothes to really eat much), drinking (optional, of course... in the limo), the dance (which is, at my school at least, far more fun than any other school dance), and then the afterprom. Afterprom seems to vary a lot. My school rents out Gameworks, so last year we went there for an hour, then to a hotel party, then to a kids house to sleep. There's something about dressing up and dancing that seems to make girls... well, not want to sleep.

justforgetme, yea i'm really glad we're having it there. Last year was the lighthouse at chelsea piers I think, which I don't like so much. And I think the W is better than the Waldorf, it's hipper =)

I can't wait for this year (and I'm a guy). Our Senior Ball is at the city hall in downtown SF (if you've seen it, its pretty dope). And my dad works at the biggest Ramada in SF so I'm getting the penthouse for afterwards and probably taking out one of the ballrooms for an after party.

Enh, my dad works there, we'll probably get hooked up on the ballroom since the hours are late (like 1:30am-3/4am) and employee rate for the penthouse. Depending on who I'm taking and if she decides to sleep there or not, some of my friends might crash with me in the penthouse, and they'll most likely end up paying for most of it. I might charge people to get in (need to pay the DJ and for other things).

junior prom is just another...dance...and not alot of people go because we have to pay $180 for junior dues...we can't go without junior dues...good thing my senior prom will be a month after my 18th birthday...I'll be drunk before I even get to prom...HENNESY GALORE!!! lol

lol you're just going to be drunk for a full month? 18 is exciting, but I didn't do much for mine. Went out to eat like three times (once being at hooters, which was really disappointing...the hooters I mean. The food was good). What do you have planned?
