Accepted to Ross on 5/2. I applied on 4/16 and sent my app electronically since they announced that all spots will be filled on 4/17. On 4/22 I got a email from Shapiro saying that I was put on the waitlist and then 10 days later I got another email saying that a spot was open, so I feel very lucky to be able to attend. I had solutions to 7/8 of the problems which I believed to be fairly well written. Shapiro told me there were 50-60 applications for the last 10ish spots and there were lots of outstanding applications. Definitely feel very grateful to be attending since if I was rejected, I probably wouldn’t have finished my PROMYS app due to ap tests just around the corner. Anyone accepted and attending Ross? See you there!

I was accepted to ROSS and will be going

Spot opened so I have been accepted to Ross. Need help convincing my parents though, can past attendees help me out on this one?

@smartgirl sure. I’ve attended the past two years as a first-year and a junior counselor. I will be a counselor there this summer as well. I’ve written fairly extensively about my experience here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/1262763-semi-definitive-ross-updated.html. Basically, at Ross you learn how to do real math which will be tremendously helpful if you pursue math in the future. You also meet a lot of great people. I still regularly keep up with many of the friends I met there. If your parents have specific concerns hopefully I can answer those as well. Hope to see you all this summer!

Bump…, waiting for promys results

@runnergirl01- sorry I’ve taken so long to get back to this! You’ve probably heard back by now but I think it takes a little longer to respond to applicants who apply later in the year because there are fewer spots available for a larger number of applicants

My son submitted his PROMYS application April 25, and got an e-mail with the acceptance on May 1st, he was really surprised for the prompt answer, he solved 9 off the 10 problems, he is really happy and can’t way for the day to go to UB. We knew about Promys for this chat… so Thank You to all the people that post information about PROMYS!
