I recently discovered some Liberal Arts Colleges and really liked them. Bowdoin and Williams were my favorites. The only problem is my parents think that Liberal Arts schools give out bad educations for unfair prices. I completely disagree. What are some great things about Liberal Arts Colleges that I can tell my parents? Also what are some of the downsides?

The small class sizes can mean better relationships with professors. Some of them have pretty solid financial aid. Downsides could be too few students or bad sports.

As far as I understand them, liberal arts education will give you a much broader education and they require you to take more general classes than, say, the University of Memphis. (Classes like philosophy, etc) The downside to this is that if you already know what you want to do, you won’t get as specialized of an education as you may like. I think going to a lib arts college is extremely important though, as students that graduate from them are often more well-rounded.
