Pros and cons of mentioning Harvard in the essays?

<p>In both my common app supplement and my supplemental essay, I referenced experiences I had during my stay at Harvard this past summer for summer school.</p>

<p>Honestly, they weren't intentional; one was an encounter with an artist, which fit the theme of my essay; and the other an experience with a friend that really touched me, which applied to my supplemental topic. Of course, I only briefly touched on those, as many other important things happened in my life besides this past summer. ;)</p>

<p>My question is...will they see this as me sucking up? And is it bad to reference the school like that?</p>

<p>Its done with, you turned in your app. Don’t worry about small details that you can’t chance anymore. Relax and enjoy the rest of your senior year. </p>

<p>Many people reference the school and I don’t think they’ll really care unless you went over the top and included many reasons why you like Harvard and said it was your dream school since you were 5 etc…</p>
