The past few years, students admitted from the waiting list have been given the same financial aid package they would have received had they been admitted earlier in our process. While we hope to continue to do the same, the availability of resources will influence that decision.
Kristen413…I seems like a lot 725 kids…I think in our part that it came down to financial aid…most colleges admit students who can financial afford to pay with little or no aid from the schools…there is no such thing as need blind admissions…unfortunately that is where we are at right now. I feel bad my D really loves PC and if the financial aid package isn’t enough I can’t really expect her to take out student.loans in excess of 30K to 40k a year to attend an undergraduate college…when she still would need to take out loans for med school…I’m hoping that she wins a 4 year scholarship that she applied to…then I think PC is not just a dream but a reality…is anyone in the same position as we are? Enough about that…good luck to your son if your able to swing it! Also make sure your sons loves something about his second choice college, sometimes the wait list doesn’t work out in everyone’s favor. I will let you know how things work out…fingers crossed!
@Kristen413…has there been any emails or calls yet regarding the wait-list?
I just got an email today saying I was offered admission. Best of luck to everyone else!
