provisional admission contract

Hey I'm sorry if I'm really slow for asking this but does everyone get a provisonal admissions contract?

Yes. Depending on what is on your provisional admissions contract differs, but there is a general one a lot of people receive that don’t require specific grades or classes to be taken.

I see, what did yours say if you don’t mind my asking?

For UCLA, I think a lot of people see:

Maintain the grade point average and complete the courses and number of units you reported in your application and in any subsequent course updates. You must be in good standing at your last institution of attendance. Also, if you attended another UC campus in regular session prior to enrollment at UCLA, you must have been in good standing when you left that UC campus. Notify our office immediately of any withdrawals, incomplete grades, drop in academic performance [including any D and F grades], or other changes to your class schedule. [See Contacting UCLA section.]

anything about "you must complete 2 transferrable english courses, 1 transferrable math course and 4 transferrable courses in hist, social, etc… before June 2010?

ah, yes.

Complete the following course pattern with C grades or better: two [2] transferable courses in English composition; one [1] transferable course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning; four [4] transferable courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical and biological sciences by June 2010.

Yey it’s not just me! Okay so I wonder also, do those courses have to be GEs at UCLA or can they be GEs at your original school? Thanks Evan!!!

Not a problem!

I’m not sure I follow, though, regarding your other question. Are you a CCC -> UC transfer? If so, those are courses you have to take at your CCC prior to transferring.

Nope, I’m an out-of-state four year transfer

Ah, I have no idea. Sorry, Sir or Ma’am!

@makemydreams: compare college catalogs for the GEs you took, if they are similar, you’ll probably get credit for them. But to be the safest, email admissions with your course info and get a response from tehm.

@dfa4ever good advice…will do!

^welcome =) The admissions office is pretty good with timely responses.
