Do you guys have this one?
my major is Business Economics.

wow where did you get that from?

No, I'm afraid not. I don't have anything that specifies GPA.

"Maintain the grade point average and complete the courses and number of units you reported in your application and in any subsequent course updates. You must be in good standing at your last institution of attendance."

and

1, log in https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/Login.aspx
2, on your left side, there is a contract you need to read.
3, here they are.....

lol. My provision is the same as xleper. Have fun, Hongda! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I got it...because I am taking 25 semester units classes....three of them are pre-reqs. That's why they delayed my admission and made a contract. If I didn't get that good grade, I screwed....

Have you ever heard of anyone getting their admission offer actually rescinded? Since grades don't come out til after deadline for SIR, so.....basically you're screwed if you get any Cs?

talk about a ****load of pressure your last semester

I am gonna go to CAL. HOHO. They just want me keep a average of B.
I wont get any Cs.....it's kind of impossible to get a C in Community college, at least that's what I think....

TrEbOr, pressure is inevitable. It wholly depends on how you deal with it.

embalila it is possible...one of my friends effed up her last semester and failed one of her classes and got her UCI acceptence recinded.

But one of my OTHER friend failed this one class and UCLA just told her to take it during summer.

It depends on the school and the class...the friend for UCI failed the prerequisite class for major....

And the one for UCLA just took it to have 12 units for insurance so it wasn't a big deal....

I have a similar provisional letter. Where it says I must acquire B's for all my classes in spring 2008. I received a C though in Introductory Chemistry >.< I had a bad month where I had all F's on quiz's. After that though I busted out A+ on all the quiz's. I talked to a counselor and they told me to report my grade online and my file will be reviewed again. I don't want my admissions revoked over my first C ever on a college transcript. :( Do you guys think I have a chance? My major is pre psychology. Should I just not risk wasting a year and go to UCI?

Report it and see what happens

you think it's worth the risk?

might as well try! you have to send in your information, otherwise UCLA will find out sooner or later! better sooner than later, they don't take very kindly to lying the few kids from my CCC that had TAP, got into UCLA but later had their admissions rescinded due to lying... or removal of information, whatever you want to call it.

If you get it rescinded, then you go to UCI. just don't give up without a fight!

What exactly did your contract say? Were you taking a lot of prereqs or something?

You can probably negotiate with them if they take it away. Maybe do your first quarter there on academic probation or something.

Well I was taking on average of 12 units per semester before and my last semester I was enrolled in 18 units and taking three science classes prereqs physics 20, bio 20, and chem 3. I received an A in Bio, a B in physics, and a C in Chem. The other two classes were CIM 10 and Sociology, both of which I have received a B in. This is the first C on my transcript the actual contract is as follows.

You must complete the following course(s) with a grade of B or better: All coursework in Spring 2008, including Bio20, Chem 3, and Phys 20, as reported on your application update form. These courses are required for major preparation and minimum eligibility and must be completed by the end of Spring 2008

well since the SIR is due in 3 days... I don't think it is possible to go to UCI if UCLA goes over my app and revokes my admissions. Since I would probably be past the deadline... maybe I should ask a counselor at UCI and tell them my current situation with UCLA. Maybe I can make a deal with UCI if UCLA revokes me, doubt it though. However, I can dream can't I :)

Might as well try it

yeah I guess so, I shouldn't stress about it. Either way I'm going to receive a great education.

It's most likely too late now, but I would have filled out a Provisional Problem Form at UCLA's site and reported that spring grades and see what would have happened
