i thought for sure that was a passage 2 question. I might be wrong tho. Did anyone else think that was a question about passage 2?

what was the profound question? Can you tell me more words in it? I will probably remember it

The T.V. passage that had the question about “subtle” was on the right-hand column of the right-hand page I think.

^ I think it was a passage 2 question.

does anyone remember the other choices? i know i didnt put subtle…i either put profound or something else

It asked what the changes were - subtle or profound

I put subtle but most ppl think its profound

I vaguely remember the profound/subtle question, but I really need to hear at least one more of the choices or something…

I wish that the Scantron sheets were scanned into a machine that relayed the information to the College Board, where all tests would be immediately scored and the curve established. Then we would know our scores on the Internet by the know we got home. :)

Wait so is the 2f(of whatever) - f(of something) 7? I got 5…

Oh ya, i put profound for that one. The author of passage one obviously believed that illiteracy was a serious matter and that the “reading at risk” report had some serious implications. So, he seems to believe that the results of the study indicate a profound effect on literacy among adults.

Something that is subtle is insignificant and not easily detected.

I think it was (2)(6)-(5)

Darn! That’s what I had at first, but then I switched it to like (2)(4) - (3)!

wait the subtle/profound question was in the Reading passage? I thought it was in the TV passage

You might be right! haha its been a long day. Which one was the tv passage? I can’t ever remember what I read after the test.

Does anyone for sure know the answer to the t-shirts problem?

I got x+15?

It talked about how TV has large implications - r u sure the subtle/profound question was in the passage about illiteracy?

No, you’re right… it was in the tv passage. And yes, it was profound, not subtle.

Sry, I think I’m going insane… this day was too stressful

t-shirts was like (15 + x)/x or something, but it definitely had a “X” on the bottom

There was an x on the bottom? I didn’t think that was even one of the answer choices?

Um, what exactly was the 2f(something) + f(something) question? Because I don’t remember putting 7 down as an answer for anything but I might be blanking out.
