but even if the original number was 2, it still said that it had to be greater than 2…

@hypocracy: it said that c<2 and then it gave you values of X to multiply with C and satisfy a certain rule they gave us. The answer is I and II only.

wasn’t it x<2?

I got I and II, but as I was doing it over, I found the given information and switched my answer to II only…

I believe the question about adding a phrase to the first sentence of the last paragraph on the writing isn’t on the list.

here is the math problem to which the answer is I and II only (as I remember it.)
Given the parameter that c<2, and 2d = 3c. For which of the following values of d will this statement be true.
I. -3
II. 2
II. 4
clearly the answer is I and II let me explain for those who cannot do simple arithmetic
if d = -3. 2d = -6. 3c= -6 so c = -2. -2 is clearly less than 2.
if d = 2. 2d = 4. 3c = 4. c = 4/3. 4/3 is clearly less than 2.
if d = 4. 2d = 8. 3c = 8. c = 8/3. 8/3 is clearly greater than 2.
If you misread that I was -3 then you got owned by the College board cos then you would have gotten 3c= 6 and c =2 and then the answer would be II only. But college board throws in tricks like that…so prepare better for the SAT
