Currently at -3 math, -1 writing, -2 Cr. That would put me at mid-220s on basically every PSAT curve, right? 6 wrong is definitely above 220. I hope…

What about the adding to the 2nd paragraph? Did we ever finish debating that?

Did anyone else notice on the “kindly” question (referring to Mo an Duncan), one of the answer choices was him being overly “politic”? It sounded like it should have been overly polite, but I reasoned that there couldn’t possibly be an error and instead went with another choice.

Someone help me calculate my score? No omissions

-9 CR
-0 W
-1 MC-M
-3 GI-M

@theowlgoeshshoot - No mistake, politic: “seeming sensible and judicious under the circumstances”

@owl I assumed that to mean he was trying to be especially diplomatic/cautious in what he was saying to Mo.

^^ I remember that question. I think I said politic because none of the other answers made sense to me…

Dictionary definition of politic: shrewd or prudent in practical matters; tactful; diplomatic.

If I’m not mistaking, the diagram on my test only had the area between the multiples of three circle and the 10-100 shaded. This would have made the answer 30, but I went with 28 since it was closest.

The kindly question was clearly Mo mocking Duncan.

But politic was an answer to another question, right? The one about how Duncan chose to handle the manner? “In a politic way” or something?

@theowlgoesshoot - It was because in the Venn diagram, the very center section would have had numbers that were integers between 10 and 100, were perfect squares, and were multiples of three. 36 and 81 would have been removed from your 30 and placed into this category, making the answer 28. I think a lot of people are going to get this right because they do it wrong, get 30, and go, eh, 28 is closest to my answer. It is very un-College Board of them to not have 30 as an answer choice, in my opinion.

Wait, was the answer politic?

I got politic.

Aj39vn23cf2: What was the question on the writing paragraph? Maybe I can help :).
Also was the politic answer choice correct or incorrect? Does anyone know the full answer choice and question? Thanks.

This is just one of those awful days for me for CR… Oh well! -6, -0, -2±1… At least it doesn’t count this time around. I should go to bed before 1:00, so I don’t fall asleep watching shows about “Bull$hit.”

The entire paragraph was about how he would approach Mo, and the other part was only supported by 10% of the paragraph.

If I remember right, the question was referring to the passage before Duncan responded to Mo, where he decided he would handle it in a way befitting an expert of language or some such thing.

Politic was the right answer.

I can see that. I guess I was going with the overly-obvious reasoning. Kind=polite. Oh my.

@owl there are 30 numbers that are multiples of 3 between 10-100, you are correct. however, two of these numbers, 36 and 81, would have been in the very middle (A, B, and C) since they were included in circle C (squares of integers). Therefore, you have 28 numbers in the overlap between A and B.

Which of the following would improve the second paragraph?
It came down to two answer choices:
-A summary of the responses of critics
-An explanation as to how readymades could become appealing

I put the critics because it would fit in the paragraph right after he actually describes his theory; the critics in the first paragraph are critiquing his exhibit, but not his theory behind them.

Quite honestly, i found this PSAT to be one of the hardest i have ever taken. I seriously thought that the SAT was easier than this one… i think they will have a slightly larger curve on this one

wait guys is 6C2=15 not 30. Someone please verify!!!

Same here because the other answers didn’t make any sense

@greenmamba20 - Well, some of the questions were recycled 2008 December SAT questions
