Thanks ROCKFISHDG!! I’ll check it out.

I got a 226 in WA!
CR:70 (-5)
M:76 (-1)
W:80 (-0)
Am I the first one from WA to get a score?

Also, FYI, the grading curve for this year is here:

So frustrated with my school. I went to the counseling office today, and they said they have PSAT scores, but they are not going to release them until January. They didn’t give me a specific date since they are deciding when to schedule a meeting for parents. I am just so anxious to get my PSAT score! Haha, I should probably calm down, though.

I’m a sophomore and I got 214. I think it’s decent. But what is my chance to get better? I did some study, not much. If I study, I should be better, I guess?

CR, 71, Math 71, W 72. (It’s so even, I just realized.)

I made two stupid mistakes in math and didn’t know how to do one.

I got a 221 in Illinois. Is that NMSF?

238 in CA. one less reading question wrong and it would’ve been 240 grrr. but I’m very happy regardless :)!!!

231! 71 in reading…I thought that was tough

^ mathman96

did you take Wed or Sat PSAT? How many incorrect was the 71 in CR? Any omitted?

My Daughter got a 231 too (congrats by the way!) and I’m trying figure out the possible breakdowns of her score… She took Wed PSAT & omitted zero… I guess we’ll find out Jan 15th anyway, but still curious…

For those whose high schools will not release your scores until after the holidays:

It probably is a glitch in the College Board software, and it may work only for a few people. However, we learned our son’s Reading and Math scores as soon as the scores were mailed to the high schools. Go to https://nsat.collegeboard.org, and sign in. Click on “See List of Colleges that We Have Matched for You” in the lower righthand corner of the page. This will bring up a page that (for our son at least) gives test score ranges. For us, these ranges were from the October PSAT even though we had not received his score report and did not have the code to access the scores.

The actual scores are roughly in the middle of the ranges shown.

My school wont hand out scores until after the holiday break and im DYING to know what I got. Is the TASP brochure any indication?

I got my booklet back, but I did not receive my score yet (and will not receive it until after winter break). By any chance, can someone who has the report with all the correct answers and had form W please PM me the answers? That way, I’ll be able to calculate my score based on the curve.

To the person who sent me a PM about my post #250, I can’t respond by PM because I don’t have 15 posts. If you followed my directions and don’t see what I describe, you probably don’t satisfy whatever conditions are necessary to take advantage of this glitch in the College Board website.

Just guessing, but you may need to have signed up for an SAT test (so you can access https://nsat.collegeboard.org), but not have received the score yet (so the PSAT range is displayed rather than an SAT score).

^ correct… My daughter has already taken the SAT Oct 6th, along with the PSAT Oct 17th… The score range for what you are speaking of is (for us) the SAT test, not the PSAT…

Academic Selectivity

SAT Critical Reading Range: 690 - 750; (she scored 720)
SAT Math Range: 650 - 710 (she scored 680)

It is exactly half of the range :)

I live in Texas and got a 222. Is it likely that I will be a semi-finalist?

I got a 240. Live in MA.

^ Yes, congrats! TX was 219 last year, hard to see it rising above your score

will a 212 make it in florida? last year was 211 but the year before was 214

It fluctuates from year to year so I’m sorry to say you will have to wait and see
However, on your score report, it should say your percentile if I’m correct…and I’m pretty sure you have to be 99th percentile or 99+ to make the cutoff. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong. xD)
Congrats to everyone!!

98th percentile in some states made it last year.

Wow, haven’t been here for a while…
221 in NY! Probably semifinalist, considering that the highest cutoff in recent years has been a 218 and that last year’s was a 215.
Vital stats:
2012 score: 221
CR: 77 (2 wrong)
M: 64 (not even going INTO that)
W: 80 (0 wrong)
2011 score: 210
CR: 72
M: 58
W: 80
No studying, just life. I will be studying for the SAT (especially math, for obvious reasons…), so I’m trying to break 1500/2300.
Do colleges ever see your PSAT score besides for the comm/semi/finalist ranking? So if I made semi or finalist will anyone care what the numbers were?
