THe PSAT is something that can relaly help you out as a sophomore or as a junior. In my case I han excellent score in my PSAT as a tenth grader in the mathematics area. Actually many colleges and universities through college board have sent me emails and mailings interested in me. My recomendation is to get the best out of the PSAT,

Everybody gets college mail irrespective of their scores. Even the kids in my school with 150-160 scores (most of them) get droves of mail.

Since you were so good in youre PSAT, what tips can you give me

Santiago, prep for the PSAT as much as possible like you were prepping for the SAT.

Camillo, as AE said, don't take the college mail to mean anything. Unforunately, sending out mail does not indicate any raised level of interest in you at all. That's the hard truth about it, and many people have found that out the hard way.

I disagree. While you should definitely take the PSATs, you needn't study like crazy for them. Prepping a bit junior year if you really want to be a Nat'l Merit (semi) Finalist makes sense... but don't stress out too much about them. I took them with no prep and got a 224. They really help to indicate how much SAT prep you'll have to do, though. They also (kind of) show which areas you need to improve in.
