should you take the sophomore psat?

YES!! TAKE IT EVERY YEAR!! Your scores can be sent to various colleges. Also, you spelled sophomore wrong…just saying.

LOOOLL! Sorry!

Okjay. Signing up for the PSAT now ! :)

^^ Except for the part where PSAT score plays 0 role in admissions. It gives them your info so they can email you. You can do that without taking PSAT

Taking the PSAT sophomore year is great practice for when you’ll take it to enter the national merit scholarship competition. If you score high enough junior year (every year before and after means nothing) you can qualify for a nice award and scholarships at certain schools or from certain companies. It’s definitely a good idea to take it before it matters so you can identify your weak points and fix them, but your PSAT score will mean nothing. The awards and scholarships however are sweet

Definitely take it sophomore year but do it without prep…unless you’ve already started for the regular SATs which you probably have…but a lot of people take it cold to kind of see what their SAT score would be like without any prep and then study accordingly.

lol, yep. I’ve been prepping since freshman year (technically, I was introduced at 5th grade, but I didn’t give a crap), My current predicted score is around 190s.

Definately pumped! :D
