PSAT Advice Needed

Hey guys so I am a rising junior and I am really keen on taking the PSAT. I have taken this my sophomore year and without any preparation I was able to score a 170. I know that is pretty low, but I feel with prep I can bring it up to compete in the National Merit Scholarships.

OK this is where I am having problems, do I just study for the PSAT or can I study SAT? because I heard prepping for SAT pretty much helps you with PSAT

I am finally getting into the whole SAT thing, so I need advice on what kind of books I should buy for the CR section? this is by far my weakest

THANK YOU

Yeah, preparing for the SAT pretty much helps you prepare for the PSAT. The PSAT is pretty much exactly the same as the SAT except not as long. For CR it helps to read newspapers and magazines like Time and The New Yorker, over a long span of time. It’s hard to study for CR because you can’t really study reading skills. You develop them over time and practice.
