My son was having some health problem on PSAT day (12th october) and because of this he couldn't finish off the test and left the exam room just after attempting one section. His guidance counselor said he can't retake it (even with a doctors's note) since he already saw the question book. But, she said we can write a letter to the NMSQT explaining our situation and he may take SAT and send those scores for national merit if he wants to compete for the merit.
Now my question is, has anyone gone through this avenue and what is the success rate?
Will appreciate anything you can share.
thanks.
