does each state have different notification dates for NMSF? Does anyone know when for AZ?

the letters were mailed out to the principals on Monday so they received them sometime this week. The letters said to notify students immediately. However, some schools will still drag their feet.

At least now you know what you need to work on.... You need to bring your score up by at about 40+ points -- depending on the state that you are from.

You may find it beneficial to get an actual Collegeboard SAT prep book (if they make a PSAT book, that would be better - but I don't think they do), then go thru all the Math tests -- don't bother with the questions that you already know how to do, FOCUS on problems that are posed in a way that is "new" to you. That way, you will familiarize yourself with all the "novel" ways that Collegeboard asks math questions (they are famous for being "tricky".) Many kids end up either missing questions or wasting too much time on unfamiliar questions. By exposing yourself to many different types of SAT math questions, you should be able to improve your Math score.

Now.... for the critical reading...

You may be the type who can narrow a question down to two answers - but then pick the wrong one. You may be reading too much into the answers. Or, you may not realize that both answers may be right BUT ONE answer is MORE right. Again, go thru a SAT practice book by Collegeboard and use a practice test. Check your answers as you go (don't wait until you finish) and check why answers are RIGHT and check why answers are WRONG. You will get better at picking the right answers.

Don't bother with timining yourself during these early practices.

Now. on to writing. Review grammar and idioms. Are you weak with vocab?

No, vocabulary is not my problem. My problem is with the infamous and nefarious passages that crush me to death.
