Not really sure where to put this, but my mom said she just got a call on my house phone saying that I requested SAT CDs after taking the PSAT (which I did not) and they said that if I didn’t return the CDs within 30 days of receiving them, I’d get charged $240. I neither requested nor received them, and my mom obviously knew it was a scam so she didn’t give away any credit card info, etc. My main concern is, after the line cut off when my mom asked a question about their proof, how did they have my name, my moms name, etc? Also, will I be charged? I’ve read up a little bit on this and have heard of this happening after someone takes the PSAT, but I’m confused as to how they got my info. Help?
