Hi! Is it all right to list PSAT scores in the additional section of the common app? I just got mine back, and my scores are really high.
Nah, that would be weird. If you get national merit, list that. They only ask for SAT or ACT.
I’m assuming you’re a junior?
Yup, I am. @XCjunior2016 Thanks for your reply!
OP, if you are a junior and you will be applying to schools in the fall, you should know by then if your are a National Merit semifinalist or not. That would count as a part of the honors/awards area. I’m currently a senior and I knew that I was a National Merit semifinalist right before I submitted my applications (around mid-September). You definitely want to add National Merit to your application if you can.
Your SAT scores will generally be the same or higher than PSAT and you would report those. If you are NMF you can put that on your application.
OP, well done, and keep it up. Your actual SAT scores may go up, or down, when you do the full test, so that is another reason why they wouldn’t be reported on your app. Also, even if yiu don’t make semifinaist, you can still list a NMSQT commendation on your app. You now just have to wait a loooonnngggg time to find out if you hit the cut off for your state. Good luck!
