Forgot to list Nat'l Merit on Common App honors section

Long story short…I submitted an application through Common App and realized I left off Nat’l Merit Semifinalist status from the honors section.
The school I applied to is very selective and my extracurriculars are somewhat lacking in general so I really would like to include that (I’ve fixed this for the other schools’ apps!) There is an application portal available where I can upload updates/etc. Is it advisable to add this there? If so should it be as part of an updated resume or something else?

Thanks all.

I am curious whether this matters, because this designation is highly correlated with the SAT score. Is there any additional information here?

Agreed. Actually psat. It’s like ap scholar with whatever. Means little.

But what matters is who has scholarships for it. So that should be reviewed especially if you become a finalist. I think I’m that case most say you have to label them a top choice.

You may be able to reach out to the AO abd if it’s b4 the deadline ask about updating.

I agree. It’s a nice thing to say but all it means is that the PSAT/SAT scores are very high - which OP has presumably submitted. So no new info.

So, @as259247 - if you’d feel better adding your semi finalist status and there’s an easy way to update, go ahead. Else don’t worry about it.

Thanks, won’t worry about it.

Yes, I have submitted SAT scores (1540) and keeping fingers crossed!
