I just got my PSAT score back and I didn't do well. I live in New Jersey and I got a 211. What is the cutoff for being a commended scholar in NJ, or what do you think it will be this time?

211 is a great score...Although you won't get semifinalist, you'll definitely be commended. The commended cutoff is national, and it's usually around 205 I think, so you don't have anything to worry about.

last years commended was a 203. so you'll get that. definitely.

if you are in the 99th percentile for a state with a low cutoff, like I live in ky, which was 212 and i got a 213, does that mean I will most probably get it, or not?

How is 99th percentile not 'too well'? 211 sounds commended for NJ to me.
