I received my PSAT scores today and I got a 211. I know this is not high enough to be a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist in New Jersey, but I am wondering if it is possibly high enough to be commended? Isn't the commended cut-off national, not state by state? Does anyone know what that cutoff is? I am 97th percentile on 2 sections and 95th percentile on one section.
Thanks!

There is another thread entitled "National Merit Commended" that contains a nice response, with a link to website that you might want to look at...

Descartesz made a nice entry where pointed out that commended status is done on nationwide score... Last year apparently was 200, so your score of 211 is looking good.

Good Luck!
