Do you know anyone else from your school (with a lower score) who made it? I got a 218, and I really don’t want to have missed it by one point!

Also, how did you find out? Is school back in session for you already, or did it get mailed to you?

Yes I am already in school session. The school called everyone that got it as soon as they received the mail. Most schools usually forward the email to each individual person’s home, but my school just handed them out on campus in the spirit of recognizing all that qualified.

The lowest score was mine I think… cause another person who got it had same score as me :/.

Last year I think the cutoff was 219, but don’t stop hoping!

california’s cutoff is 219?

Are you sure there weren’t any lower scores?

I know it was 218 last year.

W8 do u have to fill out some forms now that you made it?

Yea there are tons of forms to do. Some for the school and some for the semi-finalist. It is basically the same thing as the Common App or any college app. And you need rec letters.

Gashergina- there were only 6 in my school that qualified, and I am pretty sure my 219 was the lowest in my school that made it. it COULD be 218, I ma not sure

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Djokovic! Fingers crossed, and I guess I’ll see…

Congratulations to all of you that made it!

Hmm my address on my National Merit thing is messed up?

Do they always abbreviate Circle as CL? I thought it was CIR? Not a big deal, but perhaps if I do win something good, they might mail it to the wrong address?

This is the PSAT administered in 2008 to qualify 2010 National Merit Semi-Finalists, correct?

Got in with a 221 in Virginia.

HiPeople:

There is a check box right below the lines where you fill out your address to indicate there is a change. It says: Check this box if the information above differs from the above label. If so, please mark corrections directly on the label.

I think that would get it corrected for you. And congratulations!

theviolinist–Anyone with a lower score at your school? (I got a 219, and I’m very anxious.)

Yes the test in 2008 is for the Class of 2010 National Merit people

I got Nat’l Merit + Nat’l Achievement with a 226 in Ohio.

Cutoff in AZ was 210, up a point from last year. Got in with a 214 after getting 226 soph year. Meh.

hey better than not getting in. ;)

hooray for making it!
but is PA’s cutoff really 211? that seems heinously low compared to past years…

that does seem low… I’d expect all of New England to be like 215+

I know mass is traditionally 221+ XD

for those of you who got the results already… can someone please tell me what the essay topic is and when the forms are due? I’m pretty sure I’ve made it based on my psat score, but my high school is REALLY slow at getting this kind of stuff distributed to students. I didn’t even get my psat score last year until a month after everybody else.

Oh and congrats to everyone who made it!!
