I was just wondering if the psat tests was consideribly close to anyones actuaal SAt tests. So can you please post your psat score and sat score. thanks:)

well they’re easier and shorter and without grid-ins/essay, but for me, they were relatively the same as my real SAT scores (times 10 of course lol)

They’re weighted too much in the PSAT

So it depends on how many dumb mistakes you make.

I got a 204 on the PSAT and 2200 on the sat. I studied a little so that’s part of it but it’s also dumb mistakes that got me on the PSAT

Both grandkids have been in commended range on SAT and not even close on PSAT.

I got a 182 on my first PSAT then a 192 the next year so my predicted score for my SAT would have been a 1820-1920 but then I took the SAT and got a 2270 so I’d have to say that the PSAT is a bad indicator of future SAT scores.

178 sophomore year, then 207 junior year.
216 on first SAT. 2230 on second. 2290 composite.

I think your SAT score will probably be better, because you’ll be that much older and that much wiser. It really makes a difference. :)

Your SAT/PSAT scores will largely correlate as long as you haven’t studied for either test. For example, I received a 218 sophomore year and a 214 junior year; my average score (2160) is quite close to my first SAT score (2170)—all without studying. However, if you have invested any time in preparing for either test then that will obviously affect your results (case in point: I studied with BB for my second SAT and got a 2340).

I got a 208 on my PSAT but a 2260 on my SAT. I’d say the jump was due to practice and getting used to the whole intimidating standardized test format.
