<p>Both things are released in September. In addition to notifying all the semifinalists, the NM people send each school a list of all semifinalists nation wide and a list of the cutoffs for each state.</p>

<p>i believe it varies. Back in January and December when we were all driving ourselves nuts over our results, some kids had to wait around for their GCs, while others found it in the mailbox at home.</p>

<p>Hmm.. I don't think I ever got anything in the mail about being a semi-finalist. I remember getting that packet with the application and essay instructions from my GC in Septermber. Finalist notification, however, was sent in the mail in January like MissMichelle said.</p>
