<p>@hopmayer, my D also called on Tuesday and the pic changed back to UP on Wednesday Morning. On Thursday ( last night ) she got acceptance to UP DUS. They are going very fast now so keep fingers crossed, you will know it all by either tonight or early next week.</p>

<p>Hey everyone! How long does it take to hear back from Penn State? I applied back in December (the 12th I believe?), and although many of my friends heard back, I have not. Just wondering if this is normal

<p>@jets237 @hopmayer just to let you know that my D was “officially” accepted to PSU Main! We just paid the deposit! She will start in the summer! WE ARE!</p>

<p>Just got accepted into University Park + Smeal Business School. I wasn’t that excited while applying, but now I’m seriously considering going there. </p>
<p>My stats were: 1850 SAT (in one sitting) and a 3.5 weighted GPA. Lots of honors classes, but only two APs by Junior year (taking four Junior year). I also had a good amount of clubs on my list (not president/vice pres of any), and nice essay. </p>
<p>Question: What are the stats that UP+Smeal students usually have going in? Am I lucky to get in, or was it green light from the start for me?</p>
<p>@Vctory what school at penn state university park did u apply to because that may be why… It is also possible that you could wait until the end of Feb because you did not apply before the priority deadline which was Nov 30</p>

my d only 2 choices PSU- main- and JMU- aceepted to both
GPA-4.1 weighted- highest honors, 15 ap/chs or honors classes-
not much community/volunteerism, tons of sports, leadership roles, varsity captain.
PSU- accepted into summer program- and is not happy- I am thrilled as I feel any student attending a campus of 40k would thrive 6 weeks prior to arrival…
JMU - Fall- business/ most likley or considering pre law (business)

Penn State is a better school. You can see it through the scores of the people admitted as well as traditional rankings. It also has a giant alumni network and as many opportunities as you could want. Public Ivy(depending who you ask) vs Decent Public school (JMU)</p>
<p>Twinmom2014 - I get tired of people referring to UMass as ZooMass. It is a difficult school to get into and gives a a student a quality education. There is just as much partying at any school…including Pen State</p>

<p>@pazzap @hopmayer My status actually did end up changing back yesterday to the final stages of review again and I called on thursday so it took a little over one day for the change to occur so now just have to wait and see what happens. I changed it to DUS at University Park for fall and not summer and I see a lot getting in with the major change but for Summer.</p>
<p>If you still have “reviewing credentials” status is there any chance of acceptance to UP?</p>
<p>@ngutierrez It depends when you applied… If you applied after priority deadline you have until the end of February for admissions decisions to be coming out.</p>
