Location/Person:
State or Country: PA

Gender: Male

Other Factors: None really.
General Comments: I’m really excited to go to Penn State! I applied back in the middle of September and had the “We are reviewing your credentials” for the longest time. It finally changed last night to “coming days” and I checked tonight and saw that I was accepted. I would like to note that I was accepted to Summer. I applied strictly for Summer back in September when I had horrible SAT scores hoping to boost my chances, but luckily I retook that in October and got better scores. My scores, especially my gpa, are not even close to some of the people that have already posted on here, but I got in so no complaints. I am more than glad to attend in the summer I just am excited to have the chance to attend main right away. Good Luck to everyone still waiting. WE ARE…

Just got my coming soon update on my profile! Does this mean that I probably got accepted because they are responding so soon?

Sent from my LG-VS980 using Tapatalk

I think they only send out decisions on weekdays so you should have a decision on Monday or Tuesday, but I could be wrong. Also, from what I have learned whatever campus picture is on your account when you get the “coming days” message always seems to be the campus you will be accepted to, so just check the picture and good luck.

Awesome. And its still University Park!

Congrats to you guys! I applied back in October, and I’ve heard the idea about the middle 60% of applicants hearing later (I think that’s where I fall) and I was wondering if anyone else who’s in that category has heard back yet?

Accepted - College of Liberal Arts Fall 2014 as an International Politics Major

Stats:

GPA: 4.08W

SAT: 2040 (630CR/700M/710W)

Rank: 41/488

I wrote my essay about responsibilities that I learned on a trip that prepared me for life at PSU. I assume that all my recommendations were good…but I don’t think PSU required them anyway so it doesn’t matter.

I’m from NJ, I go to a public school, I’m white, and I’m male.

PSU isn’t one of my top schools but it is a good alternative in the event that my top schools end up costing far too much.

Also, I sent in my app late October/early November and got my decision toward the end of November.

Accepted- College of Engineering

Hook (if any): Female Electrical Engineering majors tend to be rare

Other Factors: Completed 4 college leveled engineering courses throughout high school. I also believe that my skills in English showed that I was well rounded.
General Comments: Penn State isn’t my top choice, but it’s a great option. I also plan to apply to the Honors College. I am almost 100% sure I won’t get in, but Im good at essays so who knows! Congrats to everyone that got accepted!

Also, how are scholarships distributed? Should I have known already if I received any or is it possible i’ll be notified when I get my acceptance package?
