PSU Class of 2021 Decision Thread

It says on the twitter that most UP applicants will hear in January, so if your GPA is not super up there, probably best to relax and check in a month

@amarz12 Easier said than done :confused:

friendly reminder that winter graduation is this weekend, and then campus closes until January. So try to not read into a lack of decision. I recall that one year admissions had a film clip of processing apps and while it may seem to have a pattern, the order decisions are released is more random than not. Also, you will not arrive at campus with your admit date tattoo’d on you. Earlier does not make you a better student, so watch some movies, remember that you are all wonderful and will end up in just the right place for you. The wait is hard and sometimes the asnwer is no, but there are lots of good choices in the world. Don’t freak yourselves out :slight_smile:

I’m not gonna lie, waking up each morning and seeing my application status remain static and continuing to say, “Your application is currently under review”, ruins my entire day. I know there is still lots of time left for acceptances but I’ve been so pessimistic lately. 8-| but congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!

Hang in there! My son was getting really discouraged too! We applied September 3rd I believe and just heard today. Seems like things are moving now. Good luck to you!

I would not be annoyed if friends of mine who applied a month or so after me had not already received their decision. I put in the effort long before them so why should they get a response sooner?

DECISION: accepted into university park (college of engineering for biomedical engineering)
GPA: 3.35
SAT: 1480/1600

Apparently there will be a lot of admissions released between tonight and Saturday

@allison1225 nope :frowning: still nothing…Really hoping it comes tommorw

@pennst2021 how do you know

@amarz12 friend talked to admissions

After checking my portal over ten times a day for the past month, I have officially memorized “Your application is currently under review. We have received everything required to complete your application. Once a decision is made, it will be posted here.”

Does anyone know if they release decisions once a day or do them continuously throughout the day

Also are they emailing or just randomly posting decisions on the application portal

I found out the morning of December 10th…but online the letter says December 9th…So they must have sent it out really late on the 9th. So my guess would be that they send them throughout the day @tamt1066
