For those of us who are seeing “The Lion,” here is something I read from last year’s decision thread which will hopefully give you some peace as you wait this out.
“The picture change on the portal was true two years ago, but last year they stopped with the coming days’ notification and the picture change. So the picture likely means nothing. It will change WHEN your decision comes out if you’ve been deferred to a branch. Then it will change to the branch campus.”
Thank you. My daughter has been accepted to Fisher and Kelley and we’ll be touring both in Feb. She loves PSU, but but, who knows what will happen here. I’m hoping that Lion is not a bad sign. Best of luck to your son too.
@Thinkofalogin My son has been admitted to both of those as well, and they are fantastic options! We saw both universities last February. Good luck, curious to know your thoughts after you visit.
The portal was finally updated from the Nittany Lion picture and error message to accepted! My son applied to College of Agricultural Sciences. Stats- 1210 SAT, 3.86 GPA. He applied for summer option but was accepted for Fall 2018.
Portal came back and just found out my son was accepted to Smeal at University Park for Fall semester!! Lion pic changed back to main pic. He applied 11/26 and was under review since first week in January. Good luck to everyone!
