@ccs0623 She could still get an acceptance. One post had her DD receiving it on 2/1 last year. In addition, there are three orientations for nursing, so you would still have March and April.
I am also worried. Are they holding denials until the end? Applied in Sept for nursing.
@NE_Pats12 Students who are accepted to the 2+2 receive a letter/packet via regular mail shortly after the acceptance is posted online.

@fhockeymom0600 Thanks for the encouragement but not feeling hopeful at this point. She has other choices but I think she really wants PSU. Was hoping her school and being OOS would have some pull. Great GPA but SAT borderline.
@MUIrich3 I also applied to IST before the November 30 deadline and have been under review for more than three weeks. They did say by January 31 so if I don’t hear back by tomorrow I will probably call them. It may be the department that hasn’t been releasing decisions considering I’ve only seen one person on this thread accepted to IST.

Nursing hopefuls and everyone else take deep breaths…PSU can say the 31st till they are blue in the face and then it can still drag on. 70,000 applications takes time. Hoping everyone hears by tomorrow or Thurs but it’s not dooms day if you don’t. Stay strong. We are still waiting for nursing as well. Hopefully they open up the portal to more than once a day now. @“NNOTRE DDAME” congrats! Did it just change or had you not looked yet today? Trying to figure out if they are releasing decisions during the day or still overnight only.
@Anxiousmom12 I checked last night at around 7:00 and my decision was still under review. They might have released it later, but they didn’t notify me so I wouldn’t know.
For my S, decision email is not received (checked all folders), however portal has a decision letter dated y’day.
I believe it was stated somewhere earlier on this thread that applicants won’t get an email – just the portal update, and later a physical letter.
@rogfed98 I also applied to IST and haven’t heard back yet. Also applied before November deadline. I do not know when we will hear back. I mean maybe tomorrow but seems unlikely.
I understand that there are many who are incredibly stressed out and worried right now, including myself. Please be sure to not spread misinformation. I noticed someone earlier who said they save all of the rejections for the end, but there were many accepted at the end of the month in past Penn State forums.
Just talked to an admissions counselor and was told that IST has not released their information yet because they play more of a role in their applicants. She said that since so many applied DUS it took them awhile because that was one of the first majors they did. They will provide them tomorrow hopefully
