Will the admission office mail a package to accepted students with the accept letter and other official staffs?

Yes, you will get an acceptance package by mail around the same time you get notified online. If I remember correctly, it wasn’t a thick envelope. It only had a letter and a few other papers.

Thin big envelope with about 4 pages inside.

Congrats, we had to google the Provost Award as we have a sophomore there and had never heard of it. The announcement just went out yesterday from PSU about it. A nice nudge to help our DD head her brother’s way!

My stats compare poorly to other CCers, but I still got in :D. I was so worried about getting rejected from top schools so I chose my out-of-state schools carefully. Penn State was definitely a good choice!

Stats aren’t everything! I was accepted to both Rutgers and Penn State. On both this forum and on Rutgers CC forum, I have the lowest stats posted… There are even people with better stats that haven’t been accepted yet! Remember, other factors like EC, volunteer, leadership positions, and essays play a role! My mom freaked out for months about my low scores but my friends and I were confident in my college process. People with low stats, have faith!

Congrats thepingsta!!! thats awesome to hear! when did you apply and how long did it take for your status to change from “a decision is being made” to “a decision will be posted in a couple of days” ?

Thanks! I applied on Oct. 31, but they didn’t receive my SAT scores until Nov. 12. I had the “decision is being made” for like 4 weeks then “coming days” status for 3 days before I got an acceptance letter.
