For anyone who is currently taking the course or anyone who has taken it with Keltner, do you think that the lecture notes that are being offered for sale are worth purchasing? While it was only the first lecture and not much was discussed, he talks a little quick to my liking and I found it hard to write key info down without missing other information. Is it good enough to just rely on what is in the textbook and his novel? And if I were to get the lecture notes, are they very helpful in preparation for tests? Also, would anyone be interested in possibly sharing the notes and splitting the costs for them; they are quite expensive when adding the costs of the textbook & novel and books for other courses. Thanks to any info anyone can provide.

i'm not so sure about psych 160, but i took psych 156 with keltner, and it went pretty well for me.. just take good notes in class, and he ususally repeats his important points. idk if he does this for psych 160, but for 156 - he gave a review sheet before the exams which covered most of what the exam would be on. i didn't use the black lightening notes, i think if you keep up with the reading and take notes in lectures - you'll do fine.

Cool, thanks sn0angel07. The info you gave is reassuring because I don't know too much about this subject. This is not necessarily one of my most important or most difficult course this semester, but I would like to not have to worry too much about this class.

Anyone else taking this class currently that would consider sharing/swapping lecture notes or the purchasable course notes to make studying easier for us?

Lecture notes are good, but he rambles of topic sooo much. FYI: I took his P156 last semester, and paid for the ASUC notesI also bought the ASUC notes for P156 from the year before. I quickly noticed that the lecture notes were copied word-for-word from the year before. So, either he repeats everything, or, that old man (the one who takes notes for ASUC w/ glasses, hippie sort) is lazy with the notes. Me thinks it's the latter not the former.

So would it be worth to buy them this semester, or would anyone be willing to offer/split the cost of them?

Still looking if anyone has something that can help or would considering splitting the cost of notes?
