I wanted to sign up for psychology 2, but the 3:30-5:00pm TuTh class's waitlist is full. -__- The other option is 8-9am MWF, which is far, far from my ideal...

Just wanted to ask, would it be all right if I register for the 8-9am section, not go during that time, and instead attend the 3:30-5pm section? (Both sections are taught by the same professor). Will the midterms be given in class or otherwise? If its the latter, I can make the 8-9am registration work.

I would think that it is fine since it’s by the same professor and they probably don’t do attendance… but make sure you don’t have a final exam conflict.

Don’t do it. On the online schedule it has the same professor, but on the UC Berkeley psychology website it says that Psych 2 is gonna be taught by 2 different grad students.

I took it last spring. it is NOT taught by the professor. taught by grad students. last year the 8am was well worth the early class. 3 hours of sleep. still wake up for that class.

Thanks for the info.
Okay, this really sucks. I miraculously cannot sign up for any E7 discussion. All open sections are blocked off by psych (8-9am), chem lecture (10-11am), and chem lab (1-5pm).

If I can’t substitute the other psych lecture…dang. What am I going to do. ><

Nope, it’s chem 4B. I’ve quite an adverse relationship with CoC.

Oh, what to do…is it unheard of to go to an E7 discussion I can attend and beg a student to switch out to another section…? Aside from the 8am one, there are sections open in the afternoon…though I suppose those wouldn’t be ideal for them. Sigh.

Maybe if I’m lucky the GSI for this 8am section is teaching at another time, and I can arrange to sit in on his discussion instead while being officially registered for the 8am one…
