Psyched for Psychology (Article)

<p>That's a pretty interesting article. Maybe I'll try to take psyc 132 with him sometime next year for a gen ed... I was trying to figure out what gen eds to take for some of the content areas and I really don't have any interest in a lot of them. Psych is one of the few I can imagine I'd tolerate, and if Salamone is as great as he seems it might not be so bad.</p>

<p>My friends daughter is a Phych major at UConn although she wants to teach...the comments for that article weren't very kind, but I guess it's because so many students graduate witha Phych major and realize too late that it doesn't get you far. A Psych professor at another CT school is trying to discourage my son to change majors (although he's not a junior yet) A PhD is very expensive and long and without it, you can't do very much. It's a a personal choice but sometimes not very well thought out.</p>
