Psychology and philosophy at Brown

Is anyone majoring, minoring, or taking classes in either of these areas? How is it?

There are no minors at Brown-you concentrate (major) in what you like.(or double major if you want to concentrate in more than one area). My son has taken many psych classes-some he has loved, others he said were ok. I know nothing of the philosophy dept.

I'm a philosophy major here. I'm a freshman, though, so I haven't taken many philosophy classes yet. I am quite involved with the Philosophy Departmental Undergraduate Group here though, and have talked to lots of other philosophy concentrators. What would you like to know specifically?

All I can say is the new Physics and Philosophy Concentration looks SWEET.

There's a physics and philosophy concentration? Wow, I know someone who might love that. Off I go to search.

You won't find it yet, fireandrain. CCC just voted to approve it last week and I'm pretty sure we haven't even sent anything official about it yet. It's REALLY awesome though and both departments seem rather committed to the project.

Ha! I have amazing research abilities, modestmelody. I found a physics newsletter that mentions it. The pdf can be found on this page, Brown University

Not much info, but a little.

ToastWomble, I'm just wondering if you like it so far.
