The reasoning requirement for the BA is 3 courses, which may be 3 calculus courses or a blend of calculus and logic courses. I've already completed calculus 10A and symbolic logic, so I need only one more reasoning course.

However, I just found out that the Psychology Department offers a dual BS/MA degree program. For the BS I would need to take the calculus 20ABC series, and in my case this means I need to take Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus as prerequisites. So instead of 1 more reasoning/math course, I need 5 more math classes.

This would grant me admission into the one year masters program, you see. My ultimate plan is a PhD in Psychology, so this seems a great opportunity. Does this plan seem worth it? I'm done with my first year of cc and the soonest I can take trig is this fall. I would still have to work on this requirement even after transferring to the University.
