Hi! So I couldn't fill out a TAG with either UC SB or SC because I have not taken calculus at my community college. Instead I'll be doing a tag with Davis.

However I really want to get into SB or SC.
I have all the other requirements. My GPA will be around a 3.25. I have several extra curriculars and I plan on writing a decently good personal statement.

Since calculus is listed in ASSIST for the psychology major in both SB and SC does that mean there's pretty much no chance of getting accepted?

UCSC for Psych has a long list of "OR"s for math, so I assume you don’t need calculus for it.

UCSB does appear to require calculus (either the humanities version or the STEM version), yes.

For SC you should double check on UCSC’s webpage (not assist) to see what exactly the math requirement wants, and make sure you’ll have satisfied it. For UCSB, it looks like it’s required, so you should probably try to complete it if you can. I know you haven’t completed it yet, but would it be possible to fit into Fall/Spring session? Even if it isn’t, apply anyways. Pre-reqs are good to have, and make scheduling easier after transferring, but it’s not always a deal breaker if you’re missing a couple.
