Is the psychology program at Colby good? How are the research opps? Is there good Intl FinAid at Colby, I pretty much need a free ride to attend... =(

bummmpppppp?

I'm actually looking more into Colby because (I'm an international in the US) they sent me a little pamphlet about all the special scholarships they have just for us. Considering they're a small school, I think it's pretty cool that they have so many options.

If you look on their website, I think they talk about their special scholarships, especially for "victims of political oppression" so if you come from a country with those issues, or Zimbabwe or Denmark (yeah, I'm not sure about the Denmark thing either, I don't know why), then you have an opportunity for that money.

It's free online, I think, so why not apply just to see?

Anyway, that's my two cents since no one had answered you, hope that was at least a little helpful. =)

If I recall correctly, Colby just completed a new Psychology/social science building

Free online app? Yeah!

Colby fin aid for int'l students is absolutely awesome!!!! colby has many int'l students coming each year from more than 60 countries, which is a good proof:)

Does colby give fin. aid for the Spring session

yes they do I believe. I talked to the fellow who deals with intl. students and if you are Canadian you are grouped into the US domestic fin.aid applicant pool (don't know if that info helps anyone here). Though like pretty much every other school, fin.aid. is always lower for spring transfers due to budget constraints.

I talked with the admissions dean or something and he said they give financial aid if the money is available.

College list (probable) Grinnell, Hamilton, Berea, Trinity, Carleton. (Am I aiming too high?)

I am from Bangladesh, and I need a hefty amount of scholarship to afford any uni. I cannot contribute more than 3000 per year so you have the idea. (Kindly also suggest universities/colleges which provide a lot of aid to international students). I applied to Colby last year and they waitlisted, and then declined my application. I'm still pretty naive abt my standing, so please advise me abt my chances...
