Psychology/ Neuroscience/ Behavorial Sciences

at the moment, I'd like to be a psychologist; possibly psychiatrist (or neurologist?!).

from what I've read - I've read A LOT - generally, psychology opts for a more hands on approach while psychiatry relies on mostly prescribing meds. in some situations, it's a case of a psychologist who is unable to help a patient refers the patient to a psychologist that prescribes meds. In such a scenario, I would prefer to be the psychologist. However I would also like to possibly do some research and also would like to be informed on psychiatry. not neccessarily a fountain of knowledge, moreso a stream. this is where I feel neuroscience/ behavorial sciences would come in.

however, I do not know a ton about neuroscience and behavorial sciences. I would appreciate if any psycholgy/psychiatry/neuroscience/behavorial science majors could share some insight!

ALSO: currently, I am in my senior (second) year of IB Biology. anyone who knows about IB knows the class is ridiculously rigorous. I've learned a lot (more in one year than my entire educational career) and feel I can do relatively well on the exam with lots of studying.

how would I stand to take these courses/majors at the college level with my IB Biology know how?

Do a search on these boards and a google search.

Psychiatrists can prescribe meds, but it's up to you wether you want to be meds-only or do talk therapy as well. There's no requirement saying that one you get your M.D. you're no longer allowed to counsel!
